There are two stone events, the Braemar Throw and Open Stone. Braemar is a standing throw with no advancement. It can weigh between 22-26 pounds.
Open Stone is similar to the shot put where the weight varies from 16-18 pounds.
Each event has 3 throws, the winner of the event has the option to take 3 more throws to attempt a field or world record.
There are two weights contested, Light and Heavy. The weights are 28 and 56 pounds respectively. These events utilize a technique similar to a discus throw.

There are two hammer events, Light and heavy. A bit of a theme here? The weights are 16 and 22 pounds respectively. Athletes opt for footwear with blades attached to affix themselves to the ground.

Caber throw, you know the telephone pole throwing event. These sticks can get as big as 22' and 130+ pounds. The goal of this event is to flip the caber and have the end land at 12 O'clock from where the athlete started their approach.
The Lord's event, Sheaf. This height event is contested with a 20 pound burlap sack filled with twine. An athlete will then use a pitch fork to throw the sheaf over a bar for height. 3 attempts per height.
Our last event of the day and last height event, weight over bar. Here you attempt to throw a 56 pound weight over a bar in 1 foot increments. 3 attempts per height.
